There is a list of descriptions what tlmgr is and how to use it. If I
type tlmgr gui I get the following result on a Win Vista machine:
path> tlmgr gui
path> Undefined subroutine &main::debug called at
C:/texlive/2008/texmf/scripts/texlive/tlmgrgui/tlmgrgui-real.pl line 171.
Compilation failed in require at
C:\texlive\2008\texmf\scripts\texlive\tlmgrgui\tlmgrgui.pl line 72.

I never tried to run the perl script directly, perhaps it is important
that I have installed ActiveState Perl 5.8 on the same machine. but all
in all this shouldn't matter as a part of programming or does it?
