Yes. It has only been tested on my box for the moment. And since
apparently the problem varies with different versions of windows, the
more people will test it, the more I wil be confident that it actually
works around the problem.

Yep, thanks. I'll need time to read all that, but at least I have a
starting point.

Yep. But I already tried, and the result looked ok. Anyway, I guess
double-testing doesn't hurt.
