Some users can make a very big fuss out of it. It would be nice if
before removal package the prompt came: Where you want to put the
removed package (or there was an option --trash= ....)
I understand that the package remains on CTAN but not necessarily in
DTS and with some packages question what goes where is rather tricky.
TL team had resolved this question with package included by an error,
so it the efforts should not be wasted.

It was installed: misprint

I did this: but it was not installed until I installed it explicitly.
However it was tlmgr 10829
Now I have 10842 and comparing via svn I see massive changes. I am
waiting for night update: hope ut-thesis will come and I will be
watching
.
In other message I reported a welcome change: error correction:
pdfannotextractor was incorrectly symlinked to pdfannotextractor.texlua
Observing on 10392 I noticed that there was neither error report and
nor correction later but on 10829 there was an error report (rather
confusing) and error was corrected. Further using 10829 to self-update
from tlcritical I got an error report and correction of the problem
(missing documentation). This is welcome behavior

There is another problem with removal, actually with the change of
policy: newthm (and some others) were removed from TL earlier, before
tlcritical test and they continue to sit in

/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/tex/latex/

(probably there was no docs)
