OK, I got from tlcritical update-tlmgr-latest.sh and run it. Now

%tlmgr --version

returns tlmgr revision 11305 (2008-11-16 00:23:32 +0100)

this updated tlmgr (in contrast to 11274) does not remove files

So, this is the correct version?
