why is the cbfonts package so large? Simply because it provides so many fonts at so many sizes -- nearly 1000 in all. I don't know how Claudio decided exactly what to include. Also, they were originally designed before scalable fonts were common, so in that case the only space would be for the (bitmap) fonts actually used ... karl
