Hi Phil,
you can never be sure that the result of a Google search is
reproducible.  When I "google" for something, I get many links to
stuff written in German.  

I suppose that Google tries to find out in which country your ISP
resides and sorts the hits accordingly.  Hence it's impossible to rely
on "the third hit".
