Solved like this:

   #ifndef _AIX
   typedef int32_t		int32;
   typedef int16_t		int16;
   typedef int8_t		int8;
   #endif

For the other problem, there is a patch to web2c/coerce.h. All patched
code should be checked in by the time you read this.
