Aside from testing (see below), uploading any generally useful classes
you've written to CTAN would be great.  

Also, reviewing (and trying) the TL documentation
(http://tug.org/texlive/doc.html) would be very useful.  Documentation
always needs improvement.

Testing is most certainly always welcome.  I've put you on my list of
victims, er, testers for the next version.  Meanwhile, if you wish, you
could get the current sources via svn or rsync (see
http://tug.org/texlive/svn) and try working with that.  The present
binaries are 99% unchanged from TL07, but I've done hundreds of package
updates.

wanted to expand on it a bit.)
