I've updated the xelatex-specific crop.cfg so that it no longer fakes  
a \pdfoutput (it simply forces the driver choice, instead of  
requesting it and then letting the package decide whether it's

In geometry, this fails because the package tries to look at  
\pdfoutput when the actual document begins, after all packages are
