    libstdc++ should be linked statically. Try --with-cxx-runtime-hack (it
    works for pdftex, maybe also for otfinfo).

Thanks for the reminder.

The situation with lcdf is the same as it was last year, so I don't
think we should change it now.

I seem to recall trying cxx-runtime-hack last year and having
difficulties.  (Plus, it should be moved to texk like every other
kpathsea-using program.)
