[tex-live] install-info incompatible to debian

    Is install-info a required binary within the texlive distro?

Required?  As far as I'm concerned, I think all of Texinfo could be
removed from TL without any real problem, but others apparently disagree :).

Given that Texinfo is included, install-info is a standard part of
Texinfo and has been since 1996 (predating Debian's, I believe), so I
don't think it would make sense to remove it.

The differences between Texinfo install-info and Debian install-info are
not irresolvable, but sadly, no one (including me) has yet resolved
them.  I seem to recall Norbert being the last person to volunteer to
work on that, a couple years ago :).
