Surely criticism would be justified/justifiable only if Microsoft
/refused/ to accept that anyone could have better ideas than them ?

I once worked for a company within which it was strictly forbidden
to consider any idea that "the competition" had come up with, and
that is one of the main reasons that I left that company.
