It doesn't deny  anything because 50% of  TeX under Windows  users using
TeXLive today ... what do they use ? MiKTeX  is distributed with TeXLive
... so what conclusion to draw ?

For myself, my guess would be that 60-70% of TeX users use TeX under
Windows and almost all of them today under MiKTeX. But tht's only my
guess. Just out of curiosity, I would be interested in real figures.
