[tex-live] Install of texlive2005 on AIX 52

Hi Matthias,

    The installation routine after entering "Install" just ended with
    something like error in install-tl line 51, test routine needs parameter.

    It stopped installation at the end of routine "prepare_dirs" in common.sh.

    After removal of trap command in this routine installation works ??? (!)

Thanks for the report, but we can't just delete the trap command (and I
can't understand how it could have generated an error like you describe).

I wonder if it's an issue with the /bin/sh shell on AIX 5.2.  There's a
suggestion to run /bin/bsh under AIX.  Does /bin/bsh install-tl.sh work
any better?

If not, please run something like this if you can:
  /bin/sh -vx install-tl.sh --debug
and save all the output (both stdout and stderr), including the actual
error message(s).  With that, I might be able to figure out what is
going wrong.
