it's currently an S with some vertical bars; there was some discussion

anyhow, afaik changing it is not on the agenda now

i must admit that i don't know anything about CM/EC (i.e. the EC part) since i never used it (only aer) and with regards to ConTeXt i never had any much user interest for it either, so we could switch to LM without problems (apart from changes in names and map files in the process)
