And then for 20min nothing, no reaction. Maybe it was retrieving a ton of new binaries and 20min is not enough? Maybe try a fresh checkout in a new directory? If problems persist, I could run tcpdump or something when we are both online and see if any packets are being sent. Sorry I don't have a better answer. svn has very little in the way of logging :(.
