[tex-live] Two fixes

    I would be happy to use symlinks (btw I did not originally edit this, I 
    just kept it as it was. I think Karl originally made the change?) 

I don't remember editing anything related to simpdftex, or even hearing
the name before yesterday, but it's certainly possible.

    but I guess this would not work everywhere. 
     
There are no alt* or sim* files in bin/win32 now, so I guess it's not an
issue.

    Symlinks are fine afaic.

I think so too.  Please do whatever makes sense ...
