Hi,
mptopdf -raw does not work reliably with TeX Live 20051025, some problem
with the shipped mpost binary?
If i type e. g. "mptopdf -raw mandala.mp", in fact the system call by
mptopdf.pl is "mpost --mem=metafun mandala.mp" and this gives here
(Linux sarge i686):
:~/languages/metapost/mandala$ mpost --mem=metafun
mandala.mp
This is MetaPost, Version 0.901 (Web2C 7.5.5)
(mandala.mpSpeicherzugriffsfehler
It's a segfault. The test file is at:
http://www.circuitwizard.de/misc/mandala.mp
The md5sum of this mpost ist ca5e1b37e429f3...
Unclear is also, why the metafun format is used for a -raw job?
And even with the above metafun format call, another 0.901 metapost,
self compiled, within teTeX environment runs ok here:
:~/languages/metapost/mandala$ mpost --mem=metafun mandala.mp
This is MetaPost, Version 0.901 (Web2C 7.5.3)
(mandala.mp [1]
metafun 2005-10-18 0:37
)
1 output file written: mandala.1
Transcript written on mandala.log.
No idea what's wrong. A compiler problem?
Regards, Hartmut
