[tex-live] PDF and PS output files bigger with TL2005?

Hi all,

While compiling the French version of live.tex with pdflatex I get:
676198  2005-10-08 14:35 live.pdf  (with TL2004)
909782  2005-10-15 16:08 live.pdf  (with TL2005) + 34%

Same test with the French version of flshort:
1409494 2005-08-15 11:49 dfshort.pdf
1760155 2005-10-15 17:02 dfshort.pdf + 25%

French version of flshort compiled with latex + dvips now:
1879618 2005-08-15 11:49 booklet.ps
2547576 2005-10-15 17:19 booklet.ps  + 35%

Can anybody explain what happened that makes output files significantly 
bigger with TL2005? pdftex 1.30 compared to 1.21?
I have check that all fonts are type1 (no .pk included).
