[tex-live] pictex broken in TeX live?

Hi all!

Using pictex I always get a broken system:
\! does not match its definition.

Finally I could track this down to this:
Current pictex in TeX live includes piccorr.sty

But piccorr.sty does the following (outline)

{
  \catcode`!=11

  define betweenarrows using lots of \!xloc etc

}
% END THIS GROUP

\def\!qjoin (#1,#2){% ...

I guess everyone understands what I want to say ...


Sample document:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{pictexwd}
\begin{document}
$\!$
\show\!
\end{document}

and latex-ing it I get ...
> \!=macro:
qjoin (#1,#2) (#3,#4)->\advance \!intervalno by 1 \!ifcoordmode \edef \!xmidpt{
....


As soon as the depot is running again we should fix this!
