Everywhere, as soon as you start seeing the "." as a separator instead
of a floating point sign.  And a separator it must be, because a "real
number" 1.12.6 cannot exist, while such version numbers are common.  Or
version numbers like 1.7b (larger than 1.7 and 1.7a, but smaller than
1.7c and 1.8).  Currently, my JabRef installation has this version
number, and this is _not_ a Unix program, it's written in Java and works
well under Windows.
