You don't have your own copies of the Emacs lisp files?  Then I'd
suggest that you simply remove this style.  Since lisp and tex files
closely depend on each other, the LaTeX style files from an arbitrary
version won't help much anyway.

In case you do ship the Emacs lisp files, you have the same conflict
problem also with the preview-latex package.  Also beware that upstream
has merged AUCTeX and preview-latex, so that you'd have to provide
AUCTeX, too - I don't recommend to try this.
