there will be texlive-langvietnamese etc packages.

Again, I have created tex-common_0.3.3 which includes already
update-language etc, and configuration of it.

Please take a look at the package, maybe you have some useful comments.

ATM I have entries in /etc/texmf/language.d/:
00tex.cnf 50texlive-langhungarian.cnf
10texlive-basic.cnf 50texlive-langitalian.cnf
50texlive-langcjk.cnf 50texlive-langlatin.cnf
50texlive-langcroatian.cnf 50texlive-langmongolian.cnf
50texlive-langcyrillic.cnf 50texlive-langnorwegian.cnf
50texlive-langczechslovak.cnf 50texlive-langother.cnf
50texlive-langdanish.cnf 50texlive-langpolish.cnf
50texlive-langfinnish.cnf 50texlive-langportuguese.cnf
50texlive-langfrench.cnf 50texlive-langspanish.cnf
50texlive-langgerman.cnf 50texlive-langswedish.cnf
50texlive-langgreek.cnf 50texlive-langukenglish.cnf

where the 10texlive-basic.cnf contains the contents of language.us and
the others the respective parts, eg:
$ cat 50texlive-langgerman.cnf
german dehypht.tex
ngerman dehyphn.tex

>From these files in the usual mechanism
	/var/lib/texmf/tex/generic/config/language.dat
is generated.

Related to this is my other question about WHY fmtutil-sys does NOT
find /var/lib/texmf/tex/generic/config/language.dat but uses the one in
/usr/share/texmf? (See my other emaisl!)

Best wishes

Norbert
