Dear friends!

A new generation of Debian packages of TeX live are available, as soon
as the rsync prozess is finished. Please see
	http://www.tug.org/texlive/debian.html
All packages come with source (!new!) and binary packages for
i386-linux. In a nutshell, add (attention, changed from previous form!)
	deb http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ pool/
	deb-src http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ pool/
to your /etc/apt/sources.list, and then
	apt-get update
	apt-get install texlive-latexrecommended

The arch=all packages are more or less lintian and pbuilder clean. With
respect to the texlive-binaries-source Debian source package there are
still several open items (missing man pages, not compressed man pages,
errors in the man pages, missing Build-Depends for sure, etc).

You can browse the output of lintian -i -v, pbuilder and
dpkg-buildpackage of most packages in
	http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/log/

I would like you - if you have time and energy - to:
- Check the binaries for useability, problems with installation etc
- for DD: check the debian sources/binaries and comment on them

I expect that there are still several problems/inconsistencies with
regards to the packaging, please report!

Best wishes

Norbert
