No, it's not -v

But script still does not work (after recent path correction). Example:

install-pkg-live.sh --verbose --package=lshort-ukrainian

Package [lshort-ukrainian] / Collection []. Install point is /opt/TeX/texmf
Install binaries for system sparc-solaris28
Usage: grep -hblcnsviw pattern file . . .
./install-pkg-live.sh: !: not found
Files to be copied:
texmf-doc/doc/ukrainian/lshort-ukrainian/lshort-ukr-4.12.src.tar.gz
texmf-doc/doc/ukrainian/lshort-ukrainian/lshort-ukr.dvi
texmf-doc/doc/ukrainian/lshort-ukrainian/lshort-ukr.pdf
texmf-doc/tpm/lshort-ukrainian.tpm
texmf/lists/lshort-ukrainian

/opt/gnu/bin/tar: texmf-doc/doc/ukrainian/lshort-ukrainian/lshort-ukr-4.12.src.tar.gz: Could not create file: Permission denied
/opt/gnu/bin/tar: texmf-doc/doc/ukrainian/lshort-ukrainian/lshort-ukr.dvi: Could not create file: Permission denied
/opt/gnu/bin/tar: texmf-doc/doc/ukrainian/lshort-ukrainian/lshort-ukr.pdf: Could not create file: Permission denied
/opt/gnu/bin/tar: texmf-doc/tpm/lshort-ukrainian.tpm: Could not create file: Permission denied
/opt/gnu/bin/tar: texmf/lists/lshort-ukrainian: Could not create file: Permission denied
/opt/gnu/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
making language.dat in /opt/TeX/texmf-var/tex/generic/config
from your language selections
do work items listed in /tmp/.tmp.pkginst.12634/jobs
mktexlsr: Updating /opt/TeX/texmf/ls-R...
mktexlsr: Done.

The grep error happens at the line 139 of install-pkg-live.sh
