I noticed that texmf-doc is not included in kpsewhich --show-path=ls-R output, and thus mktexlsr does not update texmf-doc/lsR. Perhaps texmf-doc does not need an ls-R file, since it isn't searched for anything, it's just for humans? Is that true? Or should it be added to texmf.cnf somewhere? Thanks, k
