Hi, 

another problem: bibtex8 can not find .bst and .csf files 
neither in the current directiry nor in texmf trees :-(

platforms: solaris7, win32.

Simplest example:

$ latex btxdoc.tex
[....]
$ bibtex8 btxdoc
Error: cannot open CS file: 88591lat.csf
The top-level auxiliary file: btxdoc.aux
I couldn't open style file plain.bst

Reason: No such file or directory
---line 24 of file btxdoc.aux
 : \bibstyle{plain
 :                }
I'm skipping whatever remains of this command
I found no style file---while reading file btxdoc.aux
(There were 2 error messages)
$

plain.bst and 88591lat.csf in correct places in the main texmf tree 
after recomended installation
   

solution: replece with bibtex8 from TL7 (need also some dll's if on win32)
