[tex-live] New binaries (and problems:)

Both correct.  TeXlive binaries cannot be linked with any shared
libraries outside /lib and /usr/lib, if the resulting executables are
to be runnable everywhere.

That is from a compilation with g++.  Since we cannot assume that gcc
is installed on an end-user system, unless it is the native compiler
there (e.g., GNU/Linux and *BSD), it should not be used for building
anything in the TeXlive tree.
