The bad thing a propos "demo CD" is that it doesn't provide lib-geturl, (tl80geturl.dll) so even tex cannot run on windows :-( Having dependancy in bin-kpathsea.tpm doesn't cure it, since the layout is made according to the contents of lists/* files where all those <TPM:Required> are ignored.
