to be honest, I have not given TL8 much thought. And it needs a lot.
I am reluctant to simply carry on as we are, I think we need to rethink
the whole thing. For instance, I'd like to make TeX Live a Debian
setup, so that Debian people could get use apt-get to keep up to date.
I am not sure what the Windows equivalent would be. I'd also like
a scheme whereby a CD could be created to order at any time to fit
the needs of any user group which wants to make a distribution.
Nothing before early 2003, anyway.
