sorry about all this. The only correct images to get are

 http://www.tug.org/texlive/tlprod/Images/texlive7-20020604-cd1.iso.bz2

which is the official release of TL7, and

http://www.tug.org/texlive/tlprod/Images/snapshot-texlive7-20021112-cd1.iso.bz2

where 20021112 is the date of whenever I make a snapshot (as I am now
doing).

this snapshot has a revised texmf tree, including CJK, but the program
sources and binaries  are from June.

My plan is to make a new snapshot next month, and hopefully to have
a new set of sources and binaries. This is if the current round of
web2c/teTeX testing reveals no more problems.

the texmf tree in todays image is about 2 weeks old (ie I have a CTAN
backlog to process)
