the changes i made were: 

* moved freetype from top level dir to TeX/libs/freetype/

* updated freetype source to a newer version

* removed contrib dir from freetype to avoid duplication
  with ttf2pk, ttf2pfb which are in TeX/texk/

* updated ttf2pk to a newer version

* added TeX/utils/mminstance/ (which build mmafm, mmpfb for unix --
  windows has these programs too but there was no source in TeXlive)

i'll add also some truetype to type42 converters which are useful.

also, it would be great to have xindy included into TeX live -- if
noone has objections, i can add it too.
