I just did this under XP and it plains work.
Should I start W98 to test it ?

However, I have found a 'bug' in mktexpk related to some complex regex
with fonts starting in wn, this regex has been augmented with a 'd'
(don't know when) in mktexpk (shell script). So I'm uploading new
mktex.dll .
