Yes, it should be compatible. What kind of problems do you have ? 

TeXSetup should run, then install all the stuff in 
c:\program files\texlive 
(default location)
If this happened, you have a setup-*.log in the
c:\program files\texlive\texmf-var\web2c
directory. Send me this log file and I'll try to help you.
(I'm away up to the end of the week however).
