[tex-live] TeXLive 7 with cygwin

I found a very helpful web page via google:

Following its advice and deleting the system environment
variable TEXMFCNF and the bogus config file
c:\TeX\texmf-var\web2c\texmf.cnf seems to have TeX back on
its feet again,from both the DOS prompt and the cygwin
prompt.
