I have verified that t1lib *should* have read this encoding file,
provided there are no further problems with that file (but the error
message is quite descriptive). I'm sorry, cannot explain this behavior.
Maybe the sources are modified or the problem somehow depends on the
system type. I have checked this on Intel/Linux.
