[tex-k] 'Floating point exception' in TeX

Hi all,

Run metafont on default io.mf like this:

    **\mode=localfont; input io

then type 'end', then run tex on this file:

    \font\x=./io scaled 16000 \x O \bye

We get 'Floating point exception'.
If 16000 is changed to 15999, everything
is OK.

If we use "at 2048pt" instead of "scaled ...",
then TeX warns us with this message:

    ! Improper `at' size (2048.0pt), replaced by 10pt.

Maybe for consistency it is worth to check the
"scaled" value also?
