Hi Martin,

    subrange types do allow constants but not constant expression. 

Ack, thanks. I'm surprised that that is the only such occurrence, but it
seems to be. In the pile for the next transmission to DEK ...

    - In the Index on Page 556, line 4 and 5,
      The entry "dirty Pascal" appears twice. 

In the ninth edition (2011) of Vol.A that I'm looking at, there is
indeed only one "dirty Pascal" index entry, so I guess that got fixed at
some point in the interim.
