Yeah, as said, in Debian we recently got whatever new version and the binaries were rebuild. Since then tex breaks.

After freeze. We cannot get builds from each and everyone.

Furthermore, it seems that with older compilers that is not a problem, and most binaries are built on old distributions.

But of course I leave Karl the last word.
