[tex-k] Unsupported extra colon in kpsewhich --expand-path

Hello,

"kpsewhich --expand-path" doesn't expand extra colons:

  texmf.cnf: TEXMFSCRIPTS=$TEXMF/scripts//
  TEXMFSCRIPTS=.: kpsewhich --expand-path '$TEXMFSCRIPTS'
find only ".", the setting in texmf.cnf is ignored,
But "kpsewhich --format=texmfscripts" does respect the settings.

This way --expand-path seems useless?
