As far as I know, you need to use the auto* programs, etc., that are
present in the teTeX source tree.  Unfortunately.  (This is definitely
true for TeX Live.)  I don't have a quick cheat sheet about it, either,
even more unfortunately.  Maybe Thomas or Olaf do.
