    change trie_size and triec_size in patgen.ch, currently set to
    10,000,000 and 5,000,000 respectively

If someone can tell me the maximum values for trie_* which don't
overflow, I'll change the .ch file ... maybe also they could be
changeable at runtime (texmf.cnf or options) if the code can end up
taking advantage of 64 bit numbers. I don't know ... --thanks, karl.
