[tex-eplain] \obeywhitespace issue

Hi to all Eplain TeX users.

Dear friends,

in the following example you can see that white spaces are not exactly
respected.  This is evident at lines 10 and 15, less evident at lines 1 and 5.
How come, and how can I get white spaces exactly respected?
