[tex-eplain] colored verbatim or how to temporarily escape verbatim mode

Hi,

I'd like to set some lines of a program listing in a different colour.
For this I'd like to invoke \setcolour{1 0 0} from the nice (plain-TeX)  
package 'present.tex'
see http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/plain/contrib/present

But I have difficulties to invoke that macro either within a \verbatim  
group or within
\listing. I need some trickery to get \setcolour{1 0 0} parsed with  
standard catcodes for blank, { and }.
