[tex-eplain] verbatim text in a footnote

Hi,

I'd like to use verbatim text (some program lines, so it needs to keep
spaces and newlines).
Is there a method in Eplain or something similar to
ftp://cam.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/misc/verbdef.sty
