[tex-eplain] MakeIndex on Mac OS X

Hi everybody,

Does any one has an idea on how to generate the .ind file from the
.idx file produced by eplain on Mac OS X?
On the old mac system, there was a small app named Make Index Fat
that would do this instantly. But this program has apparently not
been ported to mac OS X. Since OS X is a unix based system, I presume
that one can use the Terminal to do the job - but how?
