[tex-eplain] boxed formulas

Thank you very much to Helmut for his solution in plain TeX, and to Oleg
for his solution in eplain TeX. Helmut's is also easy to adapt to get a
line centered framed formula. Now I've been trying to get a vertically
centered equation number to the right of the frame with \eqno or
\eqdef{label}, but it doesn't seem to be easy either.
