[pstricks] pstricks generates bug in simple program

Hello,

When compiling the following code (Win7, Miktek, TekMaker)

\documentclass[11pt,a4paper]{article}

\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}

\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}

\usepackage[french]{babel}

\usepackage{indentfirst,graphicx,bm}

\usepackage{pstricks}

\begin{document}

\begin{center} \begin{Large}

\textbf{Le chemostat, d'après Monod}\\

\end{Large}\end{center}

\end{document} I get the followinge error message

Latex Error missing \begin{document} see Latex manual ...
Undefined control sequence...

Com meting out the \usepackage{pstricks} line allows for a normal compilation. An hour ago,
I deleted package pstricks and re-installed it from the Miktex repository with no change
in behavior.
What should I do now ?
