Yes, the example I posted was only a preliminary version of the grating, 
showing the working principle. The new pst-optexp version 4.4 has a 
proper implementation of the \transmissiongrating and you example works 
with it. On 
<ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/tex/CTAN/install/graphics/pstricks/contrib/pst-optexp.tds.zip> 
you already find the new version. Other mirrors may require a few days 
to catch up.
