Dear Herbert,
Thanks. I will effectively do the conversion outside pst-pdf.cfg.
Up to now, I have solved the problem into pst-pdf.cgf by changing the mane of the file to be converted:
Name-pics.pdf is the one created and used by pst-pdf and pdflatex to create the final pdf file and name-pics.pdf2 is a simple copy of name-pics.pdf and this copy is converted in eps files page by page.

I have no clue what goes wrong on your side.
However, cretae the document without \savePics.
Then run by hand:
pdftops -f <page> -l <page> -eps <file>-pics.pdf <file.eps>
You can use a bash or shell script which loops through all pages of the imagefile <file>-pics.pdf
